The Socker

So, yall know what tomorrow is.  If you don't please read the last 2 posts that have been "yarn heavy"
I'm stepping out of my box and attending a pre-event dinner with a whole bunch of people, some of whom I have NEVER met, a few whom I met once briefly but now blog with pretty consistently.
I am doing this all by myself and am not bringing a wing man.
This is a big step for me and we all know that I trip and fall a lot.

Actually, I'm so freaking excited about doing this whole thing and bringing my just started, poorly knitted sock for everyone to see.  And to give advice and helpful hints.

I'm also excited to see Stephanie, hear her tales, get my blurry picture taken, and eventually stand in line to get a book signed for the Princess.  The Princess wants to come, but it is a school night and she is not so good with the I didn't get enough sleep thing.  But, the book - personalize for her - she'll cherish the book - this I know. 

In preparation for the big event tomorrow I've been checking Stephanies site a little more than my normal once a day.  I've got an irrational fear that she'll decide the beer hear sucks and is going home for a decent brew.  Maybe she'll hear about all of the knitters - we'll freak her out - and home she'll go.  OR her hair will go on strike and her pants will end up missing and - you guessed it home she'll go. 

All of my fears are irrational - That is how I roll. (hat tip CAP)

Since I'm a sock knitter now (you don't actually have to finish a sock to call yourself this right?) and a stalker - I'm going with a new moniker I'm THE SOCKER!
